Lomi Lomi Massage in Göttingen
Lomi Lomi · Kahuna Bodywork
Touch that embraces the whole person.
Lomi Lomi is often described as Hawaiian massage. For me, however, it is more than a classical massage: an intensive, flowing form of bodywork – Kahuna Bodywork.
Warm oil, long flowing strokes, touch, movement, breath and rhythm come together in a treatment that includes your whole body – from skin and fascia to deeper tissue and muscles, joints and periosteum.
A flow of touch across the whole body
Touch can be slow, soft and expansive – or dynamic, powerful and very precise. With my hands and forearms, I glide across your body, pause, move, stretch and work deeply. I do not follow a fixed sequence. Your body and what emerges in the moment set the direction.
You may experience your body as a connected whole – held, moved and perceived in its own rhythm. Lomi can relax, enliven, centre or set something in motion within you. What emerges is not predetermined.
Flowing
Long strokes reconnect individual areas into a whole.
Intense
Gentle and powerful phases may alternate.
Attentive
Pace, depth and touch are guided by you.
A clear and protected setting
Feel safe and let go.
For full-body work, you are generally unclothed. The intimate area remains covered with a cloth and is not touched. We discuss beforehand whether you would like any other areas of the body to be left out. You can redefine your boundaries at any time.
Lomi is a sensual bodily experience: warmth, oil, touch, movement and the clear, supportive setting become directly perceptible.
Aloha
Love becoming present in touch, breath and movement.

The appointment in detail
After our preliminary conversation, you have time to change. At the beginning, you lie fully covered with a sheet on the warm, soft massage table. The room and the high-quality oil I use for the massage are pleasantly warm as well.
The bodywork usually begins with you lying face down and then continues with you lying on your back.
Lomi combines gentle, quiet and intense phases, long strokes, deeper work, movement and moments of stillness. Depending on what supports you and your concern, other elements from my experience may also become part of the treatment.

Time settings for a Lomi
The short session – 90 minutes
A compact setting, especially if you already know Lomi.
The complete session – 120 minutes
More space for comprehensive full-body work. Often the suitable setting for a first Lomi.
The deep session – 150 minutes
More time for a more extensive and deeper treatment.
Mau Loa · the timeless session
An open-ended setting in which the clock is not watched during the treatment.
The reserved appointment period includes the preliminary conversation, time to change, bodywork, rest and a brief completion. The amount of that time devoted to the bodywork itself is therefore not fixed.
I felt deeply held, calm and relaxed after the massage. It was like a path back to myself, to what I am and who I am.
I was touched at my very core, carried to great heights and landed sound and safe.
It had been a very long time since I was able to relax so deeply and feel the effects for so long afterwards.
His Lomi Lomi massages are incredibly beautiful, deeply relaxing, moving, liberating and nourishing …
I felt truly comfortable and safe. A four-handed massage that held me exactly where I was.

At LomiVersum
When touch becomes part of a process.
You can come for a single Lomi without committing to a longer therapeutic process. The treatment may simply be an intensive, nourishing and enlivening body experience.
If you come with a physical, emotional or biographical concern, Lomi can also become part of deeper support. I then combine Hawaiian bodywork with other body-therapy approaches. What finds a place grows out of your concern and the process we share.

Work rooted in Hawaiian tradition
My training in Hawaiian bodywork took me to Munich and Hamburg as well as to the United States – to Hawaiʻi and California. Lomi is not a choreography. It lives through attentive perception and following what reveals itself through the person on the massage table in that moment.
The name Kahuna Bodywork refers to the Hawaiian tradition from which this work emerged; it is also known as Lomi Lomi Nui. In the lineage shaped by Kahu Abraham Kawaiʻi, I understand Lomi Lomi as a healing ritual.
Medical context
Symptoms whose cause is unclear or which may be potentially dangerous should be assessed by a physician. My work does not replace necessary medical treatment. I am not aware of scientific recognition of the effectiveness of the methods and approaches I use.
