Craniosacral Osteopathy

Craniosacral work is a very calm form of touch. I work with the head, neck, torso, pelvis, legs and feet, among other areas, while sensing subtle patterns of tension and movement.

Craniosacral osteopathy is a gentle, calm and profound form of bodywork. You remain fully clothed and lie on a treatment table.

Subtle touch and attentive perception

Using sensitive touch and holding contacts, I work with the head, neck, torso, pelvis, legs and feet. The contact can be very calm and subtle. I notice fine movements, tensions and responses and follow what emerges during the treatment.

The process is not predetermined. Quiet, conversation and clearer physical impulses may alternate.

The craniosacral approach

Craniosacral schools focus, among other things, on the skull, spine, sacrum, connective tissue and the body’s very subtle rhythms. Some of their theoretical models are scientifically disputed. In my work, I therefore do not treat them as established medical facts, but as one of several ways of attending closely to the body.

I combine craniosacral techniques with my experience in Shiatsu ShinTai, connective-tissue and organ work, body therapy and energetic perception. The result is not an isolated technique, but a treatment that includes you and your response in the moment.

Medical context

Symptoms whose cause is unclear or which may be potentially dangerous should be assessed by a physician. My work does not replace necessary medical treatment. I am not aware of scientific recognition of the effectiveness of the methods and approaches I use.
